Big bags for inerting: For longer storage times and transport routes. This packaging solution is particularly popular in the food industry. The primary packaging is subjected to organoleptic and microbiological tests, among other things, in order to prevent the contents from being impaired. A filter is sealed into a special barrier film of the big bags. After the product has been filled in, the user seals the film filler neck. The oxygen is then removed via the filter and the product is covered with an inert gas, such as nitrogen. The resulting significantly longer shelf life offers enormous economic advantages: Longer storage times and the need to cover further transportation routes. This makes it easier to open up new markets, e.g. in Asia, America or Africa. In addition, production planning can be simpler and more long-term, as larger batches can also be produced, meaning fewer changeovers (set-up times) are required in production.
MAP filters offer the option of continuous digital monitoring of the atmosphere in the tank. Values / data are immediately made available digitally.
